A Prayer for Unity

Lord, I know you have said, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but right now it sure feels that way. 

I know you have said, the gates of hell will not prevail, but right now it is hard to know that. 

I know you said, my grace is sufficient for you, but right now I need more. 

Lord you know how difficult this season is, but you also have not been caught by surprise. I plead to you in your infinite grace and mercy, heal our land!

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but the enemy has tricked us into thinking it is!

The gates of hell will not prevail, even though the enemy has dominion.

Your grace is sufficient.

Grant us the ability to detach from ourselves in order to see the bigger picture. Give us the boldness to speak against sin and injustice of any kind. 

Help us to stand against the cosmic powers and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies.

Help us to know you have founded a church that will not be overcome.

Help us to rest in your sufficient grace.

Use me for such a time as this. That I might, with my life bring you utmost honor and supreme glory.

The battle we fight is against sin… it has been defeated.

The ruler of darkness… he has been conquered.

The grace that saved…it is amazingly sufficient.

Lord, unite us I pray, for the sake of the gospel.
